Kim Hopkins’ Instagram feed is full of dreamy images of family life in Surrey, staycations, and, back when travelling was easier, trips abroad. Kim shared with us how excited she was to start travelling with her kids early on, their favourite snacks while on the go, and her number one travel tip!

1. How old are your kids?
My kids are 6, 3 and 8 weeks.
2. When / where was the last time you travelled with them?
We travelled to Devon during May half term this year, but the last time abroad was in 2019 to Malta.
3. Where do you plan to go next?
We love to travel, we are next planning to go to Spain in the summer and then to Dubai in October.
4. What’s it like travelling with kids in general, what have you adapted on your trips?
I am a cabin crew for an airline so I couldn’t wait to be able to start travelling with my children. We first took my eldest when he was 8 months old. I would say when it comes to travelling with kids the key is to be organised.
5. What are your kids favourite travelling snacks?
My boys like all snacks, we take a variety but their favourite would probably be chocolate brioche.
6. Do you prefer to travel by train, plane, or boat?
We haven’t done much travelling other than by train, but I would say by plane.
7. What’s your ideal family vacation?
Somewhere that has lots of things to interest the kids but also us parents can get enjoyment from. We like to explore places.
8. With young kids, do you prefer early morning flight or late-night flights?
Definitely early morning!
9. Any travel tips you swear by?
Have a bag for each child with bits they love, snacks and a toy they haven’t seen before that you know they will love.
10. Travel gadget / gadgets your kids love?
Nintendo Switch and their iPads.
