IN A NUTSHELL
Visit Algarve with Children
The Algarve is a great place for families. Located in the southernmost part of Portugal, on the Iberian Peninsula, it offers plenty of beaches. These are mostly sandy beaches, with no stones, and the water is crystal clear. There are also many stroller-friendly paths along the beach, so parents can easily explore with their young children.
In addition to the beaches, there are many other family-friendly activities to enjoy in the Algarve. There are water parks, theme parks, and amusement parks, as well as plenty of opportunities for hiking, and biking. There are also many traditional villages and towns to visit, which offer a glimpse into Portuguese culture. So get ready, because vsiting the Algarve with children will surely be a dream come true!
We love building guides that are truly parent approved- we spoke to mum and travel expert Cristina Neag. Cristina is a baby wearing and travel content creator based in Germany and mum of Jamie. Make sure to give her a follow at KikiCristinaa on Instagram.
The Best Time to Visit Algarve with Children
The best time to visit Algarve with children is during the spring (from April to May) or fall (from September to October). During these months, the weather is still warm and sunny, but not as hot as it is in the summer. There is also less rain during these months, which makes it more comfortable for exploring the area.
