There are various ways in which you can get around Zagreb with children.
Funicular Railway
Enjoy Zagreb’s historic Funicular Railway from Lower Town to Upper Town, offering scenic rooftop views. Short but fun at 66m, tickets cost €0.66 for adults, while kids aged six and under ride free.
Zagreb Trains
Kids under six ride free on Zagreb’s trams and buses. Most trams are modern and easy to access with strollers, but watch out for older trams with steps.
Free Train Rides
Discover the Zagreb Free Mini-Train, a must-try attraction suitable for everyone, with families in mind. Operating on weekends from 10 AM to 7:20 PM, this complimentary service takes you through the heart of the city, offering a delightful sightseeing experience. Departing every 40 minutes from Ban Josip Jelačić Square, it’s a convenient and fun way to explore Zagreb with your loved ones.
Zagreb Bus
The Zagreb bus service operates on 143 daytime and four-night lines, providing connectivity between various neighborhoods without tram lines. Additionally, the bus service connects Zagreb with Velika Gorica, Zaprešić, and the municipalities of Bistra, Luka, Stupnik, and Klinča Sela.
Zagreb Public Transport is free with Zagreb Card.
